This is, by far, one of the easiest (and tastiest) chili recipes I’ve ever made. It’s a variation of my Mom’s recipe and can be used many different ways. Tonight we made chili dogs – YUM!!
1lb. Lean Ground Beef (or turkey)
2 cans Tomato Soup
1 can Pink Beans
1 can water
1T Chili powder
Brown ground beef in a deep skillet or large pot. Drain beef and rinse under cold water (this helps remove more of the fat). Return the meat to the pan and add soup, beans, water and chili powder.
Bring to a slow boil, reduce heat to low and cover. Continue to simmer (stirring occasionally) for 45 minutes. Remove cover and continue cooking for 15 minutes more to help chili thicken further.
Serving options are endless – over pasta (topped with raw peppers/onions – my favorite), on a hot dog (pictured) or all by itself with corn bread.
